Overview
The Country factsheet highlight socioeconomic inequalities in cancer mortality across the EU 27, Norway and Iceland. They were prepared by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) and the Erasmus MC as part of the EU-CanIneq project.
The initiative supports the Cancer Inequalities Registry by providing new insights on estimated inequalities in cancer mortality by education level. The findings highlight the need to enhance cancer control efforts across Europe by addressing structural inequalities in cancer outcomes and ensuring equitable cancer care for all citizens.
